Meet the team!

Rosa Romano, Director West End Real Estate

Rosa has been in property management since 1993, and has a wealth of knowledge, gathered over 28 years of industry experience.

What is your role at West End Real Estate?
I’m a Property Manager and also the other Director of West End Real Estate. I manage properties and also make decisions about the business.

What is your favourite part of your job at West End?
It’s definitely meeting people and helping them either find the right tenants for their properties or also helping people find homes that suit their needs.

What was your first job? Did you love it or hate it with passion?
My first job was working in a video shop (remember those?). It was actually quite fun because I got the chance to see a lot of movies before they came out.

What’s one thing you love to do in your spare time?
I’m a fan of going out for dinner and taking myself off shopping.

Last question – coffee or tea drinker?
Always coffee!

Notice to Vacate – Update

From 6 July 2021, the rules around issuing a Notice to Vacate a rental property due to planned demolition have changed.

Under section 486A of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) a notice to vacate for demolition requires at least 60 days’ notice and be accompanied by relevant supporting documentation, including:

  • a building permit for demolition
  • a contract with a suitably qualified builder-demolisher, stating the date that demolition will occur.

For all the finer details, including other changes visit the Consumer Affairs Victoria website.

That’s all for the August edition! Stay warm and have a great month.
